• Heard from a friend, who recently visited my blog that she had seen a tree that was full of leaves like this. In this case, am not sure, if these holes in the leaf are because of bugs or is it just one of nature's wonder? Sounds dumb? But, I have this doubt!

Lustrous Droplets!

It was the second MES moms morning coffee meet at Anna's place. First one was held last month at Renu's house, and thanks to her for starting this 'ritual'. But, missed to take photos, because I forgot to take the camera, how can that be?!, that too when she had such a perfect sunny kitchen!

Anna's house was picturesque and I was tempted to click anything and everything, but refrained myself, because it would be like intruding her privacy. Here let me just share the shots that I took around her fountain...

Pitiable Tropical Fruit Farm

Twice we tried to go the Tropical Fruit Farm in Sungai Udang, which is about 20 mins drive from our place. First we came across this farm when we were on a wild goose chase trying to find new beaches.

Then, when I studied the colorful brochure and the info online, we were hoping to get an experience similar to the fruit picking farms in the west or at least something like the one in Cameron Highlands. When we reached there, again I was feeling a bit uneasy as the place looked deserted, but the entrance ticket counter was opened. When we inquired why there was no rush even during the holidays, the attendant said that it was not a popular destination and besides at the moment there were no events in the farm.

The tram service was canceled because there were no visitors! Well, instead they allowed us to drive through the large farm, thank heavens we were at least spared from the unbearable heat!

First, a caged pathetic monkey greeted us...

We heard that in its heyday, this poor creature used to pluck coconuts. We drove past beautiful landscape, but with dead gardens.

Now, I lost the interest in taking pictures, even my kid didn't want to shoot the deers and cattle. Somehow, this place reminded me of some under-developed zoo in a third world country.

What a pity that this place is left to rot. After all these years in Malaysia, this is the first place that I ever regret being there. No hard feelings, at least I can rest in peace^^, that I have been there.

Chinese Garden - Singapore

Note: This is the second time it has happened to me! My post was ready and when I was making a last minute edit, wham...something happened and entire contents vanished out of thin air...extremely frustrating...

Though it was not my first visit to the Chinese Garden in Singapore, I am fascinated with its serene water body, sprawling lawns and beautiful buildings that boast Chinese architecture. Here is a collection of shots from my last visit.

When kids sprinkled fish food, a large school of prosperity fish, rushed to devour it.

After this, we proceeded to Pagoda, through Confucius statue...

Those who have seen the Tamil movie Priya would be familiar with this legendary Pagoda...

A mere look at the spiraling steps was enough for me to dishearten my spirits to climb up...

But, the view is well worth the climb:

Taman Tasik Perdana - Tram Ride

Several times, we have tried to locate Taman Tasik Perdana, which is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, but the crazy signboard used to lead us in circles.

Well, no complaints. This beautiful haven hosts many other attractions as shown in the above signboard. Every time we have visited one.

This time around, only my kid and I went for a drive in that area hoping to find our way. We saw a tram ahead of us and my kid wanted to take a ride in it. So, I cut in front of the tram and asked the driver, about the starting point of the tram ride.

We got lucky. He said that the ride starts from Taman Tasik Perdana, so we just followed the driver and found our destination finally...

Taman Tasik Perdana means Lake Gardens. Even around 2.00 PM, it was cool because it is covered with canopy of trees. Now, our main aim was to take the ride. 

The fare is just 50 sen for a ride!

And it passes through all the gardens that can be accessed only by this tram or by walk.

As it was a weekday, the road ahead was deserted and we were the only passengers for the first 10 minutes.

The tram was moving at a leisurely pace, and both of us were having fun and giggling at silly things. Later a family stopped the tram near this place...they must have been picnicking here.

We crossed the lake where there were pedal boats, but again there was no sign of life there. Next, we saw this...but not sure, what kind of ride is available.

After completing the trip, we wanted to explore the place and just walked for about 5 minutes and ended up here...

We wanted to go to the Dinosaur park as well, but it was too lonely and I was not comfortable to take my daughter all by myself. May be, next time we would tag my husband along with us so that we can dare to explore more...
